Aft Or Forward Cabin Better On Cruise Ship

I always prefer Aft to Forward.

The reason being if the ship is hitting the waves with the bow that wave is smoother the further back as the stern goes over it since a path so to speak has been cut through. Its a bit uncouth but aft sounds a lot like ass which is your rear. Views from forward cabins are spectacular.

Ive been on at least 15 cruise ships. Rear Aft cabins - more motion than the midship cabins but less than the front ones. Aft cabins can feel more movement from the ships thrusters.

If you are not doing much night cruising this is not really and issue. Not just for minimal rocking but I feel like the elevators and stairs on the Aft side of the ship are more convenient to venues I frequently visit such as the dining room buffet on most ships and the pool. The very front of the ship.
