The Aquarama is a ship that fires our imagination it looked amazingly retro yet only served in a short amount of service. And converted it into the Great Lakes ferry equivalent of a cruise ship. I am saddened by the way it has been abandoned and I urge someone to please restore that great piece of Lake.

Cruise Ships More information SS Aquarama Detroit SS Aquarama formally known as the SS Marine Star was a World War II troop ship for the United States Navy. It was renamed the Aquarama and served as a cruise ship between Detroit and Cleveland in the late 1950s and early 60s. Burns September 21 2007 2249PM.
