Msc cruise ship fire. According to local news reports 51 crew members were on board. By 430 pm. The MSC cruise ship has been moored in the port of the Corfu since January 30th.
According to local media sources the fire occurred on Friday 12 March at 1530 local time. A HUGE FIRE has broken out on a cruise ship docked on the greek island of Corfu. The fire which originated from one the ships fiberglass.

In a statement the cruise line confirmed that at 1542 local time in Corfu MSC Lirica reported a fire incident into the MSC Maritime Support Centre in London UK. The MSC Lirica was on fire in the port of Corfu in Greece on Friday afternoon. On Friday afternoon a fire broke out on board the MSC Lirica cruise ship at the Port of Corfu Greece.
The blaze which broke out on the MSC Lirica at 330pm local time is thought to have started in an empty lifeboat. MSC Lirica can be seen in the nearly hour-long video with smoke pouring out of the starboard side towards the middle of the vessel on what appears to be the outdoor promenade deck where the lifeboats are kept. The fire was reported at 342 pm.
